Conventional Metal Braces for Kids, Teens, and Adults

Our conventional braces are for people of all ages. From children to adults, this method of orthodontic treatment is most common around the country today. Don’t be fooled by the name – these modern, efficient braces are a far cry from the large, unappealing braces of the past.

Our conventional metal braces are made up of brackets, arch wire, bonding materials and elastic “o-rings.” Although more noticeable than other types of braces, they are a common sight in people all over America, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious during the treatment it takes to brighten up your smile.

  • We also offer more advanced “self-ligating brackets” that remove the need for elastics. This allows the teeth to move further in less time, resulting in fewer visits to the orthodontics office. Although conventional brackets only require adjusting every month or so, the self-ligating brackets extend this, even more, leaving you plenty of time to forget about your braces between visits and get busy enjoying life.
  • Soft tissue injuries – Inadvertently biting your tongue or lip may leave you with a painful injury that could require stitches to heal properly. If you have injured the soft tissues of your mouth this way, you should rinse the area gently and apply gauze to control the bleeding.

Although conventional braces are perfectly suited to straighten teeth and correct bites, some people can’t help but feel self-conscious with the metal brackets. These concerns are a thing of the past with Invisalign®, colorless braces, and aligners that fit perfectly over your teeth. Each set is developed by a dedicated orthodontist and customized depending on your individual needs and wants. Invisalign® braces are created for you, and only you.
It also means no wires, no brackets, and no adhesives.

Invisalign® braces utilize a smooth, comfortable plastic sheath that covers your teeth and immediately begins working to gently straighten them. This virtually invisible orthodontic achievement removes any worries or concerns that you might have wearing conventional braces, giving you the confidence to beam and laugh in public to your heart’s content.

The process is simple. The aligners simply slip onto your teeth and shift them into the desired position. You’ll be given a brand new set roughly every two weeks until your treatment is complete and you have the smile you’ve always wanted. The best part? No-one will even know you’re receiving orthodontic care. You can carry on as normal with minimal interference to your daily life.
